Massage Therapy

Massage therapy belongs to a larger spectrum of treatment known collectively as Soft tissue therapy. Soft tissue therapy is the manual manipulation of the soft body tissues (muscle, connective tissue, tendons and ligaments) and treats musculoskeletal aches and pains, sporting and non-sporting injuries, chronic and acute tension, as well as improving body flexibility and speeding up recovery after exercise or surgery.

I offer clinic or home based soft tissue therapy for the following issues:

  • Sports injuries

  • Recovery from exercise

  • Rehabilitation from injury

  • Upper/Lower back pain and tension

  • Neck/Shoulder pain and tension

  • Posture - sedentary, driving or desk-based occupations

  • Tennis/Golfers elbow

  • Sciatica

  • Disc bulge

  • Trapped nerves

  • Muscle tears

The benefits of soft tissue treatment are evident. They can help to ease pain, relax muscles, improve mobility and increase the range of motion. Soft tissue therapy can also improve energy levels, improve blood flow, boost confidence and eliminate toxins from the body.

SEEK GUIDANCE

It is important to seek guidance from a Physiotherapist first if your issue has not been diagnosed or seen to before. I am extremely privileged to work with a consultant physiotherapist, Dr Michael Garmston at Birmingham Physiotherapy who can be made available to you if required.
